About John

John HollandJohn has been in the mural business for over 30 years. From the supergraphics of the 70's to the realistic murals of today, John has been the first choice for decorative painting for hundreds of clients throughout the West Coast. It all began with a mural of a bullfighting scene in a Mexican restaurant on the boardwalk in Santa Cruz while he was still attending Cabrillo College. Transferring to San Diego State, he continued to paint murals and supergraphics to pay expenses. From 1977 to 1987, John also designed wallcoverings, both collections and custom designs. He also taught screen printing in night school at San Diego Community College district (1972 to 1977), and various art classes at Lake Tahoe Community College (1993 to 1998).

Today, his clientele include private residences, casinos, restaurants, hospitals, hotels, fitness centers, retail stores and many others. This is what he does for a living; it is not a part-time endeavor. You are likely to find John working in Sacramento, Lake Tahoe, Reno, Las Vegas, San Francisco, East Bay, South Bay, San Diego and Los Angeles.

John enjoys painting Tuscan scenes, vineyards, underwater, Lake Tahoe vistas, kids' rooms, nurseries, living rooms, kitchens, baths, fireplace surrounds, marble-like columns, tiles and some very unique environments.
