October 9th through October 13th
9 am until 4 pm with an hour for lunch
Join us in beautiful Lake Tahoe for a fun-filled 5-day learning experience. Learn the techniques and trade secrets of John Holland, a mural artist since 1969. We will all produce a beautiful Italian-themed village scene with a nearby vineyard. An arched, stone window will be the frame for this scene. The mural will be an exciting addition to your portfolio. You will be amazed at how easy it will be to create.
Join John as he explores:
- Paint and Painting Techniques
- Paint Mixing and Glazing
- Taping and Masking Techniques
- Transfer methods
- Perspective
- Spraying
- Computer Imaging
- Pricing and Billing
- Marketing Your Business
Each attendee will produce at least one complete mural on 10 oz. cotton canvas (48" x 75"). The mural is designed to utilize as many techniques as possible. Paints will be acrylic with water clean up. All paints and tools will be supplied. There is NO materials charge. Please wear suitable clothing for painting. Aprons, disposable shoe covers, and nitrile gloves are supplied.
The workshop will start each day with coffee, tea, and goodies. Attendees are responsible for all the other meals and room charges. Side adventure trips will be included when possible.
Cost: $1500
Deposit of $500.00 due in advance to hold space in workshop. Balance due when workshop begins. Workshop limited to 10 people, though less is preferred. The workshop is about quality, not quantity.

Mobile Mural Workshop
Would you like to sponsor a workshop in your area? We are ready to take to the road with either a 3 or 5 day workshop to your area. The rates are reduced because you will make all arrangements for students and space. We will bring everything needed, including canvas and paint. You must supply tables and chairs. You may charge the students whatever you wish. Contact us for more information on this exciting possibility.
